Welcome to Nunavut Geoscience

NunavutGeoscience.ca is a project of the Canada-Nunavut Geoscience Office (CNGO), Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) and the Government of Nunavut (GN) aimed at disseminating geoscience information about Nunavut. Contributions to the project have come from Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) and Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated (NTI).

The information available comes from territorial and government funded geoscience projects and exploration companies. NunavutGeoscience.ca will:

• provide a single Internet portal for the discovery and evaluation of geoscience data available in Nunavut
• provide the ability to search a Nunavut Mineral Occurrence Database (NUMIN) for publicly-assessable mineral exploration assessment reports, Open File publications, and other public-geoscience publications
• provide the ability to download available digital assessment reports, Open Files/Reports and other publications from your search results
• search and display Nunavut mineral occurrences (showings) from the NUMIN database
